Gary Quenan
President, Engineering


Gary Quenan has over 35 years of Executive Management, Project Management + Engineering experience in upstream oil and gas.  In 1999, he founded and served as President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of OPE Inc., a leading deepwater pipeline and subsea engineering firm with offices in Houston, Texas, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Trinidad. During this time, Quenan led the proprietary technology development of a Deepwater Floater from concept to project ready.  He project-managed pipeline installations, quarters’ moves, and deep-water pipeline and umbilical connections in North Sea, South China Sea and Gulf of Mexico.

Quenan has diverse experience in design, estimating, bidding, fabrication, installation, Project Management and Corporate Management. Quenan demonstrated his engineering design and construction management expertise in the design, fabrication, and installation 18+ platforms off of the east coast of Malaysia.



Marc Thompson
Executive Vice President, Operations


Marc Thompson joined T-REX in 2014 as Director of Projects and in 2015 assumed the role of Executive Vice President of Operations. Thompson has over 12 years of diverse experience in Executive Management, Project Management and Business Development in the offshore oil & gas industry. Prior to joining T-REX, he served as Vice President of Projects and Business Development for LoneStar Marine Shelters where he was responsible for project proposals, contract negotiations, project management and execution of all major capital projects. Thompson has a BS in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.



Bobby Bragg
Executive Vice President, Business Development


With over 22 years of hands-on project execution experience, Bragg brings an exceptional level of construction management and fabrication expertise to the T-REX management team.   He has been at the forefront of Gulf of Mexico work where he witnessed first-hand the evolution of offshore growth--from shallow water to deepwater subsea facilities.  Bragg began his career with Delta Engineering in 1990 where he worked in the structural group as a helper and computer loftsman.  Since that time, he has taken advantage of a unique opportunity to work for, with and alongside some of the industry's premier leaders in oil and gas fabrication.  Highlights of his experience include working in and managing estimating and projects groups as well as holding senior level management positions where he gained knowledge of proposal development, planning, scheduling and execution of project plans while establishing and maintaining client relationships.  His diverse project management experience includes a broad range of successful project completions:  $500 to $20,000,000 projects;  small production skids to large process modules; small shallow water caissons to 5,500 ton production platforms; and small warehouse buildings to 5 story living quarters.  He is a native of Arkansas, attended Arkansas State University, and was a member of the United States Marine Corps.



Jason Grisel
Engineering Manager


Jason Grisel has served as the Engineering Manager for T-REX Engineering + Construction since September 2014.  Grisel has over 15 years of engineering experience and has served the subsea, fixed/floating offshore, and coastal onshore oil & gas industry in various capacities.  His prior experience includes structural and installation engineering and management positions with Foster Wheeler, Energo Engineering (a KBR Company), SBM Atlantia, and FMC Technologies. Grisel holds a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing another MS in Subsea Engineering from the University of Houston. 



Bobby Hillin, Jr.
Chief Executive Officer

The Founder of T-REX, Bobby Hillin, Jr., spent the bulk of his career (1982-2000) as a professional driver in the highly competitive environment of NASCAR racing. In 1986 at the age of 22, Hillin became the youngest driver in the modern era of Winston Cup racing to win an event, and the youngest driver ever to win on a super speedway. In 2001, Hillin formed Texas ReExcavation (T-Rex). Since inception, T-REX has provided vacuum excavation and vacuum services to multiple companies, governmental agencies and contractors. In 2008, T-Rex Services acquired GSPE Inc. and formed T-REX Engineering + Construction.
